the circle of life
This morning I found out that wonderful woman who was a very fun part of my Ren faire year passed away in her sleep. Lorraine was character with sharp wit, a sharper tongue and a great heart. She was a beautiful artist and her gowns as the Duchess of Sussex always inspired me. She was at Faire yesterday. I felt shock, saddness, loss. It made me think about death, and losing the people we love.
Then I went and spent the day helping Rob and Carrie and Charlie build a kitchen. The best part of all was visiting with their gorgeous daughter A. A was one of my flower girls, and she had some health concerns when she was an infant. But now she is a thriving toddler who's ability to form sentences and really communicate blows my mind ever time.
I feel loss and I feel promise. Rest in Peace Lorraine, I feel sorry that someone like A will never know your spirit, but peace that life will grow.
