final dress pics
So Sunday was R day when
ajcostumes and I went to the Pensylvania Renaissance Faire in our new outfits.

The day proved to be a lot of fun, we saw many friends from our years of employment (5 for her 1 for me) we had good food saw a few shows, brought much appreciated gifts for the queen and had an all around good time.
This was our escort, personally I think he's rather dashing ;-) He's also 40lbs thiner than he was so major props to Marcus for that! And for wearing his spiffies for us

My favorite new accessory is my mink his name is Berttie, guess who he's named after ;-) I'm sooo evil lol. We made one for me one for Amy, one for the Queen and one for Sussex who unfortunatly wasn't there because the rain and her knees don't get a long :-( She was greatly missed. Here's what they looked like all staring at me from the table. From L-R it goes Amy's, Mine, Queen's and Sussex's

We gave them rinestone eyes and gold painted paws and noses/ears/etc. I called Rob at 1am to say "it's 1am and I'm puffy painting gold toe nails on a mink..." I live a weird life ;-)
My dress turned out fairly well, before I wear it again it needs a kirtle with sleeves underneath. Originally it was supposed to have a white under doublet but that one I'll cop up to a learning experience and say I'm glad I didn't put much money into it and if anyone much smaller than me would like a doublet I have a lovely white one they can try.
ajcostumes helped me whip up some sleeves from her fabric stash and we just tucked a little piece of fabric down the front to make it appear to have an under kirtle, and I have to say I actually really liked having the open neck more than I probably would have enjoyed the high neck I'm also wearing
ajcostumes 's hat because I totally ran out of time to make mine. Oh and the smock is her's too, although she nicely told me to keep it as it's rather small in the neck, I mean I have a small neck but who the hell that was made for I'll never know. All in all a wonderful day!
And one last photo cause you know you want it....
yeah yeah I know I'm making that stupid "you're taking my picture" face
