T-minus 24 hours

And things are starting to come together!

I am officially NOT Nekkid! Although I have a few things still to do.

1. Sew down the waist darts. I keep putting these off as EVERY time I try it on they move. bah.

2. take darts out of the CB

3. Ruffle on the petticoat (I had a major case of the dumb when I made it and it's 5" too short *facepalm*

4. shorten the sleeves

5. sleeve flounces

6. Trim Stomacher.

7. sew down the top few inches of the pleats in the CB so they stop spreading so much.

8. LOSE 10LBS! Holy Hell this thing is SO unflattering! I thought it was great till I looked at the picture Rob took, I'm a freaking COW! blech, doesn't help my self esteem much.

I also think the hardest part of this whole dang thing is going to be trying to get the stomacher on remotely straight. proving harder than I thought it would be.

I think the trim on the overdress will give you a rather different look. Cause it'll be wide around the neck, pinch the waist, and flow out again over the skirt, and whether you want to or not it'll give you a hourglass appearance. Right now there's so much fabric without details, which makes it harder to see any defined lines. But when the decorations are in place, I think you'll like it a lot better. Like here:

I think it will very pretty once it's all put together!

And if you liked it before the picture, don't let the picture hurt you too much. I can't count the times I've had to run to a mirror after a particularly bad picture to prove that I don't look like that :)

Not nekkid is good! And it is ridiculously hard to get a stomacher pinned on straight! You have to budget in like ten whole minutes into your dressing time to futz with it.

And I agree with Katherine - there's a reason I crop my head out of a lot of photos I post of works-in-progress (namely: Dear God, does my face REALLY look like that?!)! :) And I think that's a lovely color on you.
