robinsnest | *DING* stays are done

blackcat452's drunken monkey came over and sewed on my binding for me. My sewing machine doesn't like sewing on binding evenly and I really didn't feel like putting it on by hand..these are definitely function over form stays. But they're done.

I've been pondering more and more about my intended gown...

madamekat t's like cooking. When a recipe only has 4 ingredients it can be delicious and perfect but you need all four things or the dish won't happen. And I'm missing a major one!!

So where's that leave me? wel

bethhsh ave me this beautiful silk charmeuse that she used to make her edwardian ball gown. apparently she ordered 10 and got send 20 yards (Why do things like that not happen to me!?)

I've been searching for inspiration on what to do with this lovely fuchsia silk, it's thin drapey and soft. I think it'd be great for a regency ball gown...or 4. So far the best inspiration I've found is this one.
