PARF 2011
So today I had a lovely trip to the PARF with
madamekat and
blackcat452. It is very surreal to go back. There are moments when nothing has changed and I could be there flirting with my new boyfriend having a carefree life, and then there are times when it's painfully obvious I've moved on (married said boyfriend) and don't fit anymore. Just strange.
The Good:
I have AWESOME friends.
My hair looked STELLAR (I didn't bring a camera so there are no pictures)
I actually didn't freeze as much as expected, the 1 hour 18th century cloak from Germantown came in veeeery handy.
The Bad
It was crazy crowded
It was cold
I missed
curiouschilde and Rob.
I almost cried while sitting and looking at a giant pickle...reminded me of Lorraine and the world I had there. It was a good world when I was there.
The Ugly
the discovery in the parking lot that I have in fact gained enough weight that my jacket wouldn't close and I would have this disgusting gap the whole day. A Melt down was had and I very nearly spent the day in jeans. Tomorrow. Gym.
All in all a lovely low key day.

I think every book has a chapter that isn't the most amazing. You and i are both in those kinds of chapters. It will get better, you just have to believe. Here is what i learned from my stint of unemployment. Live the weekends as weekends. Live the week like you are working. That work may be posting your resume, calling people, or soul searching. But on the weekends you need a break. Do weekend things like what you did yesterday. *hugs* It will get better.. and you have a good support network :)

I'm so glad that you came, but I'm sorry it brought up some bad feelings. Just try to remember all the good things you have now, and the rest will follow. And I thought you looked great, I wouldn't have noticed any fitting issues if you didn't point it out. Chin up, I can't wait to hang out again soon.
