eyelets eyelets everywhere

Next time I say I'm going to make stays that lace both front and back would someone PLEASE smack me? I spent all of the afternoon/evening today sewing eyelets. OWWW. But they're done. All Fifty-flipping-FOUR of them. And the first person to tell me I didn't need to space them that close together is getting slapped. I DARE YOU TO TELL ME! *ahem* They actually looked rather nice at first...then they got sloppier and sloppier until the last five when I couldn't feel my thumb and couldn't care less what they looked like.

But they're done.

Tomorrow I'll put in bones, check the fit and go from there. My plan was to bind these tomorrow and start cutting the gown on Wednesday, but if I'm super sore I'll probably skip ahead and start cutting the gown.
Now I'm off to find some advil...

A way not to handbind them? Hmm... I once tried milk & cookies on the windowsill, but it didn't work ;-)

Great work! And aye, sloppy is period!

They look good! And eventually you'll be glad you've made them front and back lacing. Eventually! ;)
