Have I mentioned lately how crazy awesome my friends are?

If I haven't mentioned on here lately how incredibly wonderful my friends are please allow me to proclaim it from the rooftops. ladyxjade, my husband and madamekat arranged a truly amazing 30th birthday party in Laurel Hill Cemetery where we officially laid my youth to rest.




Sadly Rob was having weird camera memory card issues so I only have pictures from the very beginning of the party and then the very end of the party, but I know others had cameras so hopefully more will surface later.

The location was beautiful, right in the middle of "Millionaire's row" where all the rich people built these enormous mausoleums.



Everyone brought some food and the spread was pretty amazing. Fried Chicken, pasta salad, apples and peanut butter, cake and more cake, philly pretzels, pink lemonade...it goes on and on. ladyxjade polished all her family silver and the result was stunning.

I was overwhelmed and truly moved by the number of people who showed up to celebrate with me. tayloropolis and Julia from the Bohemian Belle both came with Kat much to my surprise. And isabelladangelo arrived oddly with my brother-in-law's girlfriend's mother...I'm going to assume that was just coincidence though ;-) I don't have any great photos of the NEW dresses all three made (stupid camera) but they were all stunning! Taylor especially should watch that marvelously elegant dress lest I abscond with it.

madamekat made awards (as they're my favorite) but it being my birthday ONLY I GOT ANY! MWAH HA HA





This in a nutshell is why I love my friends :-)

When I think back to where I was when I turned 20 I was with friends in London, another great year in my life, but I would never in a million years trade the friends and the love I have now to go back to then. I am the happiest I've ever been and with the greatest people I've ever known. My life is truly blessed with the richness and color you all bring into it. I can't wait to see what adventures await us in my next 30 years.

As you can see I DID in fact finish my new dress and I shall make a fancy post about it over on me blog. But currently I'm still in the glow of seeing all my friends.

Thanks! People keep being shocked that I'm so upbeat about being 30 but my late 20s were sooo much better than my early 20s so I figure 30s will be the best yet!

Lol! I actually arrived at 12:45 but knew everyone would show up if I went to the lady's room to change. Connie (I believe that was her name?) just wanted to know where the bathrooms were and went with me.
