a ballgown development
Spell check really thinks ballgown is two words...I really want it to be one word...who's right?
Anyway apparently
hiraimi and I are racing to finish our ballgowns. Which is good as I put it off for a week, then she threw down the gauntlet and I hemmed all 180" of it yesterday in an hour. Apparently I'm mildly competitive. I woke up this morning and was actually sewing by 9am. Don't die of shock here.
As I leave for work today I currently have the skirt hemmed and pleated on the waist band. All it needs is to have the waistband whipped down on the inside and a hook and eye sewn on and it's all done. Take that Miss Alice!
Sadly now I have to go to work till 10pm...but maybe I'll whip down the inside of the waistband when I get home.

btw getting my pleats nice and even required stupid amounts of MATH. ew.

Though strangely, it's not underlining it here, and it underlined other typos. Hmm.
And beautiful pleats!

But looking at that second sentence I wrote, I'm not sure my powers were in use at the time. Geesh...

I love the way the pleats fan out from the waist.
