dicken's caroler

Due to the massive success of my Renaissance Dress that's on display at Joann's I'm going to make a Victorian Caroler to put on the dress form. The deal is it either has to be fabric we carry or based of a pattern we carry.  So because I haven't commited to fabric yet, I'm still searching the interweb in vain for what I'm dreaming off. I thought I'd have a little poll. Which pattern do you like as a jumping off point better number 2887 or number 3727.  I can't do direct links  cause their site sucks. I shall refrain from giving the direction I'm leaning till the votes are in.

Well, I guess it depends on what look you're going for. To me, 3727 has more of a daydress feel to it. Then again, I'm really partial to the hanging down fringy bits on 2887. Something's looking up with the foldback portion of 2887's sleeve, but I'm sure you could fix that without too much fuss. Ok, so after a lot of rambling... the only thing drawing me to 3727 is the sleeves. 2887 has cool sleeves once they're tweaked a bit and I love the tassles and fringes. I vote for 2887 as a tweaking off point!
