Review of 2008 and resolutions for 2009

Okay I guess I'm a little behind here...so sue me.

First The costume year in review:
I didn't think I'd accomplished that much but then I actually looked at the list...
~1854 dress for Kirsten's Birthday
~the blouse of 100 pin tucks and 1904 skirt for Samantha's Birthday
~1944 vintage vogue dress for Molly's birthday
~Big Green Dress for the faire with Amy
~Regency dress for halloween
~Capote to go with halloween dress

Not to bad all things considered.

So things I'd like to do for 2009
~first I'm gonna make a pair of hand sewn reed effigy stays. Probably I'll make a trial pattern run out of cotton first
~Lavender Polonaise in the Williamsburgh collection
~Flemish ensemble for possible first SCA camping event
~some fabulous gown for faire
~Civil War gown for going to gettysburgh this year (I live so close! I'm determined to go)

Oh and on a non costuming note, I resolve to stop biting my nails! (again) I've put the nasty tasting stuff on them in hopes that'll help.

Okay now I really need to focus on that show I'm working on, I gotta make 4 tutus and 4 capes today. off I go

I have apparently massively underestimated the amount of tulle it takes to make a tutu...in fact I might need something more opaque...either way I need a hot glue gun too so I'm off to joanns
