It smells like summer. I sat on my bed reading arcadia, my window was all the way open and my fan buzzed gently on my shelf. between it's whistling blades and the breeze flooding through the window the heat of the day quickly dissapaited to be filled with the cool evening hinting at summer. Tonights sunset was gorgeous, red and pink, as i watched the light colors change across the written page before me the gentle strains of jazz music wafted up on the breeze. I'm not sure where the music's coming from, and usually i don't like jazz, but tonight it fits and makes the night complete. summer always has a soundtrack. In the winter it's too cold to leave my window open but as soon as spring arrives the sounds of life return to my room.

today was a perfect day. I've decided you know you've captured the best in life when you're eating a crunchy salad (nothing soggy here) on a sun drenched rock with a waterfall at your feet and good friends on both sides of you. as long as you can have crunch salad, sunshine and good friends i think you have everything in life that matters. thanks lexi, keaton and corey! who else would go on an adventure in the woods, sit on the rocks and soak up sun, and rescue beavers with me! you guys are the best
