The Buying has begun!

I started the gathering of supplies for the Great Dress of Revenge, just as a personal challenge I'm gonna keep a running total of the cost here, the goal is under 100 for the whole dress...okay maybe 150 being more reasonable. 

Anyway today I gave up on the whole "I hate synthetic fibers" thing and realized that I just don't have the budget at the moment to put any money into the silk I would much much rather have. If I was gonna make a stellar gown I could afford it would need to be middle or lower class and that won't have the wow I need. So once I bit the bullet and accept it was polyester or nothing I went out to joanns. I had a gift card and a sale coupon and walked away with this


It was in the "Sari and brocade" section. I'm going to use it as the lining for the overgown/doublet. I'm still unsure if I'll try to use the boarder decoration up the center edges or around the neck back.

I also picked up this lovely lace
 
not 100% positive that I'll use it, maybe around the bottom of a petticoat. but it was .39 a yard and I asked for 10 but got 12 because of a taped on peice.

Grand total so far: $10.89
