WAKE UP WE NEED YOU....just kidding
May. 12th, 2009 11:38 amSo I was laying awake in bed this morning enjoying a nice warm boyfriend when I hear that joyful chorus of "oh when the saints go marching in" indicating someon was calling me. It's Pat, they're getting a suprise audit at work, can I come in and watch? "Sure give me an hour to shower and eat and I'll be right in" Get myself out of nice warm bed, get up, shower, comb hair..."OH WHEN THE SAINT..." it's Pat again, "Mary doesn't think it's a good idea if you come in as it'll slow the process down, so you can have your day off, see you tomorrow!"...okay well at least I'm up and showered I guess.
So for today on my day off, I REALLY need to make some progress in this horrendously dirty apt. There is just STUFF everywhere, and not nice stuff, junk stuff. I need to pack up the easter baskets and eggs and grass for next year. I need to clean the bathroom, clean the kitchen and do the laundry in a serious way. Amy also called and I think she's coming out and we'll go fabric shopping and maybe swing by impact.
I've officially decided on my next big project. I'm going to make the Lavender gown from Costume Close up, I will make the hand quilted petticoat that goes with it but I will also probably make a self petticoat for wear when it's hot out. My mother already very nicely bought me the wool batting from a local quilt shop near my sisters house. And there is some PERFECT lavender silk taffeta at work that will go to 3.00 a yard on the 22nd and it's gonna be MINE.
