1. Why do you costume? Do you do it more or less now than you did when you first joined LJ?
I costume because I love the material culture part of stepping into another world. To me costuming is about connecting with people, having fun, and understanding where I came from.
As for do I costume more or less, I costume vastly more than I did when I started LJ over ten years ago, but a fraction as much as I did a few years ago. Mostly that's from a concious step back from former friends who were not healthy relationships for me. I still do as much as I have time for, but school and adult responsiblities really do eat into things. Lately it's a quality over quantity thing for me.
2. What colors are you drawn to in your costuming? what eras?
I love anything bright and bold! I like patterns, textures and heavily saturated colors. Also orange. All the orange. And plaid. all the plaid. Era wise I like things that feel "fun" to me. Mostly I get into an era for an event. I'm such a generalist I can get heavily fascinated by any era with the right event to excite me.
3. Are you drawn to motives or themes? What would you say your "signature" is? Did I mention plaid? I do really like plaid...Mostly to me my signature is being so close to awesome and not quiiiiiiite getting there. But it's coming.
