So I finally have my new laptop power cord and can share some pictures of how the Kirsten dress turned out.

So it's actually a simplicity pattern and I have to say with a little fitting adjustment it's actually a really good pattern. Although had I not already known how to cartridge pleat it would have made zero sense to me, especially since I still have no idea what they were trying to explain.

Here we are one happy family! Papa's out in the fields with the boys of course

Here's the front view, the apron is actually from the show I didn't have time to make one.

I'm wearing a victorian corset that I didn't make I borrowed from work, it actually hooks and eyes down the front with fake buttons down the front.

As you can see the skirt is cartridge pleated. The technique is kind of interesting it's pleated to a bad which is sewn on the inside to the finished bodice.

and finally my shoes!

So all in all not bad for a frantic weeks work

Ebay actually 26.00 and they fit like they were made for me. I had to get one of them patched and a good oiling at my favorite cobbler but all in all I love them. Now I just need a button hook that's the right size, buttoning them with my fingers stinks
