Dress U Sunday
Jun. 6th, 2012 10:51 pmWoke up on the earlyside of Sunday as I had a ticket for the let them eat crepes breakfast, but I never did figure out what to wear so I took a break and just went in civies. Was kind of a nice change of pace.
Then out of the blue pops up and gives me the world's most amazing thank you gift.
OMG BONNET!

I loved it and proceeded to wear it to the mad hatter tea instead of the one I was planning on. It's the prettiest bonnet ever!!!

I just wore my 1854 dress to the tea, it feels like a "this old thing" as I've had it for almost 5 years now? something like that.
Side note Regencytea.com provided the tea at the madhatter tea and it was AWESOME! highly highly recommend.
I only took one class,
isabelladangelo's extant garment class, that woman has some gorgeous things!! I was intending to take the parasol class but we got there and it was standing room only and as I have Beth on hand who's my go-to parasol expert I decided to leave the spaces in the class for those who REALLY wanted to take it and wandered up to the lobby. We killed some time on the lawn before grabbing some mcDonald's before the Tiara Party.
ladyxjade did a freakin' amazing job with my unruly hair! It was crazy awesome. But apparently I fail at curling, which I maintain is because I HAVE curly hair I spend more time trying to make it straight! I wore the tiara from our wedding with my purple silk Victorian. Overall I'm pleased with how it turned out. It will definitely benefit from boning and a bit more trimming. But the general feel was okay.

I look kind of silly in this one but it seems to look like the best fit photo of the new bodice

So that was Dress U for me. I forgot to mention in my Friday post that
sadievale came prepared with extra kits so she let me take her class and it was AWESOME! I highly recommend if you ever get the chance. I had a really amazing time meeting new people, seeing friends again, and learning so much. I can't wait for next year!
