I have a dress!

Please ignore the too lose drawstrings. They're only temporary anyway as I ran out of white *facepalm*

and a back view

I keep thinking it looks like my smock is showing but it's the straps of the gown.

And now a side view so you can admire my false rump..should it be larger?

So I tried it with a sash that I borrowed from my titanic gown.

Exhibit A: With the sash covering the high waist. going for a slightly more transitional look:

Exhibit B: Lower on the waist treating the higher gathering line like an underbust line.

I'm also contemplating cheating and putting elastic in the arms. It's just annoying fussing with them!

Looks awesome! I would go for the first sash location option.

On the arms, can you tie a ribbon around the outside of the sleeve to help it stay in place?

Also, have folks figured out the plan for Bastille Day in more detail yet?

Awww, thanks for the offer! Turns out I have to stop at my parents' house on Saturday anyway, so I will get changed there. I've manged to cajol Isabella and Maggie into coming as well, we will all leave from my parents' place. I will have to see chez robin another time!

Do you have a cell # so we can find you when we get into the city? You can email me at gsheu4 AT gmail DOT com, and I'll give you my cell as well.
