mandie_rw has pointed out that it's too quiet on here and I am not doing my part...thing is I have ZERO sewing progress to update on. Things have just been crazy this week...so here's what's happening in my nursing school life.


I had a unit exam #4 on Monday. And I bombed it big time. I got an 87, which was 10 points lower than my last two exams and a real body blow for me. I know rationally that a B is a great..but it took my overall grade in the class from an A to an A-...and I am crazy and that really upset me. I've worked super hard for a 4.0 and I don't want to lose it now! But if I pull it together for my final on Friday then I can still pull an A so fingers crossed I do better on the final. It's the stupid endocrine system, it's so much harder to tie to concrete concepts.

I had my last day of my first clinical today, cannot believe how fast these 6 weeks have gone! I've done so many things and learned so much in such a short time. I've gone to the IR, OR, PACU, Dialysis, Venous imagining...I did my first catheter yesterday that felt very much like a right of passage somehow. I've given injections, hung IV meds, done personal care, patient teaching and fed through a G-tube. When I look back, I'm very proud of all I've done and I'm SO EXCITED for my next rotation. OB! YAY BABIES!


So tomorrow I'm off. I have work from 7am-11am and then I study for final on friday. Send me smart thoughts please!
