Another sum up

robinsnestOkay I'm horrible about this posting thing...a few more life highlights:
-I made it to summer vacation! I have 2 more blissful weeks of vacation before going back for the last semester of nursing school!!! Holy cow the end is coming. Starting to panic about finding a job.
-I have actually been sewing! I have a pile of white froth in my lap for an upcoming regency evening. I'm making a very simple 1790s gathered front dress. You know the dress the Chemise gown evolves into. It has a fitted back because otherwise it would just be another chemise gown with a flat back. I need it for the 16th...I think I can do it.
-Rob's been gone all week and he comes home tonight and I cannot WAIT. My home feels hollow without him. Glad he had the work, but also very glad to have him home.
-My chinchilla Momo has not been well. He had dental work done and I was not prepared for how poorly he would handle it. His brother Roku had his teeth filed last year and was back to himself in two days and gave us no issues taking meds. Momo hated his meds (he's thankfully done now), and has not started eating again. He's gone from 16oz to 13.5oz last night and required two trips to the vet. She pretty much told us to keep syringe feeding him (which he hates) and he'll slowly get better. ooof. But this morning he was up to 13.8 so I'm hopeful that perhaps I've figured out the correct amount and concentration of Critical Care to give him. I just want him to eat and drink on his own.
Anyway I think that's all the updates from our neck of the woods. Off to go iron me some strips for a casing on this dress.

And poor Momo! But he's gaining weight! I hope he eats on his own again soon.

Also, if you're not on LinkedIn yet, make an account and start adding people you've met during class and your rotations. If you're already on it, start adding people you've met during class and rotations. Your network will help with the job hunting.
