robinsnestSo I get to work this morning and discover that Kirsten's birthday which I thought was a week from friday is in fact THIS friday! Oh crap I'm naked still!!! As of this morning all I had done was the bodice fronts were cut out and gathered to the underbodice fronts! Oh crap!
So the good news is I pretty much just worked on it at work today and I got the whole bodice put together with the sleeves and everything but the hooks and eyes down the front or any form of buttons.
The bad news is that in my rush to accomplish things I think I cut the skirt too short :-( So any creative solutions to a too short skirt? I'm thinking I might just wear it ankle length for this week and then go back and try to add a band. Either the plaid on the bias or perhaps a band of dark brown? I dunno.
I'm also seriously contemplating machine hemming it for time and because my tendonitis has been REALLY bad this week and 6+ yards of hand hemming just sounds soo horrendously painful...would that make me less of a costumer? I'm afraid it would...I could always hand hem it later....
