finally progress

Finally some progress.  With Rob off on set today that means I'm done with the costumes for his latest movie and can actually focus on my own projects. I only have a week left!!!! OH CRAP!!! I'm so not gonna finish this one.

Anyway this morning I finally got the Bodice mock up patterned out, then I pulled out the left over sateen and discovered I didn't have nearly as much as I thought I had! oh bother. I don't want to go into joanns to get fabric cause I'm so sick of that place and I've got a 10 hour day there tomorrow, and eight hours tonight.  While pausing to regroup and contemplating throwing in the towel. I had  thought, "wait a min mike sent a garbage bag of fabric with all that lace and I haven't even opened it, what're the odds there's something I can line with in there?" and OMG there is! I found two yards of some ivory cotton feeling fabric! SCORE! So now the bodice and the lining are both cut out. And I'm gonna eat lunch. But at least I feel like I've finally made a little progress, even if it's just a little.

I'm in the same place you are. My bodice and lining are cut out, and now I have to start flat lining with the serger...

LOL! You missed my online plea a couple of days ago. That's cool :D I'm winging it at this point and though I made no attempt to match the stripes this time, it's going to be a charming little ensemble anyway. A good bow and a strong personality can hide many wardrobe imperfections!

I hope your project is coming along. I'd rather you get your dress done than help me with mine during this mutual time crunch!
