didn't get a huge amount done tonight, but I did have to work all day at the madhouse that was the Joann's Memorial Day sale.

I came home determined to get some progress done on my skirt. The construction was really unimpressive, I took a peice of my fabric 90" long, french seamed it into a tube and just draped the skirt onto my dressform. I put it on a narrow waist band, the dresses in Patterns of Fashion seem to have petersham waistbands or very narrow self fabric ones. I opted for the narrow self fabric incase it showes.

Here's the Skirt in profile. It's machine hemmed because my plan is to put a nice wide band of self pleated trim on the bottom. The trim will be replaceable if the hem takes a serious beating outside.
And close up of my fabulously uneven pleats, which I refuse to stress over because they will be completely hidden by the skirt drape.

I also put the sleeves in quickly before bed last night. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to rip them out again they seem poorly balanced.
But all in all the front looks nice. Onto the Bustle drape!

Thanks! The funny thing is I wasn't intending to put in a v-neck but I just cut out the pattern on auto pilot and totally forgot to change it! But I think it's a happy mistake.
