The campfire slowly dwindles
As the embers fade to black
Our conversation turns inward
What I wouldn't give to go back

To change the things I said
And stoke the flames once more
To have stayed instead of left
Musing the world over till long past four

Talking teasing laughing
Wishing hoping sharing our dreams
That one wonderful night
Melting away through the seams

The fire's dwindled out now
The stars moved on above
But I know we can never forget
