halloween angst
Oct. 8th, 2008 11:27 amSo I'm angsting over what to be for halloween, I mean it's one of my only opportunities to really dress up...I need to find more events but that's another note....So I've been toying with two scenerios. 1. I make a 1785 polonaise gown. In this cenario I have to make a costume for Rob too which wouldn't be toooo hard since I could just make pants, shirt and waistcoat and put off the coat till a later date. However a 1785 polonaise would be a lot harder to make for me. Situation 2. is I make a regency dress for myself, but then I have to make a men's wear outfit somehow! And let me tell you the patterns are either lacking or 25 dollars a piece. And that kinda fundage is just plain lacking. I'd really rather buy a coat but an affordable one is just not presenting itself. Tailoring suits is not my strength. Ugh...and yes this is causing me serious angst. I was pretty sure I wanted to be Jane Austen for Halloween but then I thought about trying to make rob's outfit and kinda freaked...So yeah any advice is appreciated....I suppose I could just make rob something to go with my 1854 dress but then I've got nothing new :-( which is no fun....UGHH!! Why are boys so difficult! And I wanted to be something historical so that we could use them for this years christmas card photos
