which way is up?
Apr. 23rd, 2012 05:09 pmFeeling more than a tad overwhelmed by school/life/finances at the moment. We covered the last chapter in Chemistry today and we have an exam on in on Wednesday with no class in between. oookay. Here's hoping I don't come up with any questions while doing the homework! Then I have a psych paper to write, two bio articles to do write ups on, and three finals!
I did manage to do a bit of sewing over the weekend. I've made a strict deal with myself to do some etsy before any personal sewing. Doesn't have to be a lot, but I need to keep making things if I hope to ever get that shop off the ground.
Sunday I worked on what I've named the Tim Gunn corset, you see it's motto is make it work. It has a zipper instead of a busk, plastic boning, horrible poly twill tape boning casings, and now eyelets that are perhaps smaller than I realized. BUT the point is to make something that will give me the right shape for under $10.00 and so far that seems to be going alright.
I got the grommets in yesterday so I can try it on and discover just how much too big it is in the hips. I have NO hips you see. Now before you go saying how great trust me it sucks. Pants never fit, my waist always looks thicker, and I await the day I push out a crotchfruit to hopefully make me look more balanced!
Anyway I should scrounge up dinner, I have to go back to school for my last class at 7 (have I mentioned how much late evening classes stink?)
