The Eagle has landed

Finally home from three weeks of Christmas travel. Feels like we've been gone forever. Although in the end I was so sad to leave my beautiful little niece. What is it about babies that makes them smell so delicious and be so snugly? We stayed longer than intended at my mother's because I got a cold, then when I got over my cold it was just stay another day and Molly would be showing up with the baby. I mean c'mon that's a NO BRAINER. So I got to hold and snuggle her after all. Which was fabulous. Babies to me have such promise, she could be anything and that is part of the allure.

So we came home to a nice giant mess of tree dropping needles and Chinchillas having kicked bedding everywhere. Yesterday we took down the tree and got about half of the Christmas decorations packed up. I suppose I should finish that today but I'm feeling decidedly sorry for myself at the moment. I wonder actually if I'm PMSing as I've just had giant fat tears falling down my face all morning. and usually that's a sign I'm PMSing. I suppose I'm overdue, I haven't had a period since September. Making it hard to motivate myself to be productive. But I really need to clean up in here, and get working on my dress for the card party. Or more importantly my STAYS.

But for today Rob who has now awoken bright eyed and bushy tailed shall be taking me to the movies! Perhaps a fancy date to the movie tavern.
