thoughts?

koshka_the_cat pinned this redingote and it popped up in my feed...and I'm pondering something. You see I'm so focused on nursing things at the moment that I'm looking at the world through a very different lens. And I'm wondering if this was just dressed on the mannequin horribly crooked OR is it possible the original wearer had very bad scoliosis? The hem seems straight while the bodice is very off, which would make sense if a hem was balanced off of someone's even hips and then put on a symmetrical model.

EEEEEEEE!! The silk jenthompson got for me came today and it's the most gorgeous, amazing stuff! Great body, amazing color. I need to find time to finish my stays so I can start sewing something with it. I'm really hoping some of Jen's sewing mojo and mad skillz rubbed off on the fabric...
