koshka_the_cat pinned this redingote and it popped up in my feed...and I'm pondering something. You see I'm so focused on nursing things at the moment that I'm looking at the world through a very different lens. And I'm wondering if this was just dressed on the mannequin horribly crooked OR is it possible the original wearer had very bad scoliosis? The hem seems straight while the bodice is very off, which would make sense if a hem was balanced off of someone's even hips and then put on a symmetrical model.

The decoration of yellow fabric is formed by slender branches of daisies, pomegranates and berries that are followed in accordance with a meander. The bodice in blue silk is formed by a simple decoration and vertical lines. Border in blue silk.
