yeah...I tried on the regency that I have...I kinda forgot that I've gone up 2 cup sizes in the last year and a half and the result of that is that now the under bust seam hits right in the MIDDLE of the boobies give me a loooovely under boob lump.

SO I now have absolutely NOTHING to wear. I guess I'll just have to live via all your lovely pictures.

On the plus side I still do love my capote.

You realize, of course, that a chemise de la reine (sp?) would work, right?

Do you want to borrow my white Regency dress? It's a drawstring, so you'd only have to worry about fitting the arms.

Thank you for the very kind offer, but really I shouldn't go because of the money situation so not having something to wear is a good way to get that through my thick skull.

that's period? It seems so like when people wear polka dot underwear with white pants today and you have this awkward moment where you can't decide if you should tell them or just let it go since they can't go home and change.

heehee, I know what you mean - my info is gleaned from other costumes, ones who do it right, so I'm hoping they know ;)...in the colonial era, they made brightly colored stays and sometimes they could be seen thru the clothes: I've been told by multiple costumers it's period...anyone have any additional insight here?

We all really want you to come, and its no fun living through pictures. So if you don't want to borrow a dress, then I will make you one and drive you to the tea. I have three days off this week and I need something to do.
