2013 Française Dinner

It gives me great pleasure to announce some specifics about the 2013 Française Dinner!

Mark your calendars the date is offically MARCH 9th, 2013

• We're moving! This year's dinner will be heald at the General Warren Inne which I swear to you looks smashing in real life and horrid on their website pictures. I have no idea how they managed to make it look so bad. Assuming we make our hoped for 20 guests we'll be in the historic Carriage Dining Room. An actual 18th century room with a working fire place and plenty of space to move around in large dresses.  It's very conveniently located just outside of King of Prussia.
• We will be determining a flat rate for the dinner which will make payment so much simpler for everyone! It will be 100% pre-pay this year by dates TBD. No mad scamble to figure out the bill at the end.
• It will be a cash-bar. The wait staff will happily start a tab for individuals or couples at your seats and you pay for what you had at the end of the night. Soda, water and coffee and tea will be included with the meal cost. 
• There will be a place to change. ladyxjade and I will be splitting the cost of a suite and opening it up for dressing before hand. However there are lots of people who want a turn so we'll have a sign up sheet with time slots to make it all go smoothly
• The Inn has some lovely and affordably priced guest rooms if anyone else would like to spend the night. I hear tell of fresh home made scones as part of breakfast in the morning. At the moment all the rooms are available sans the Presidental Suite. 
• In the event of a blizzared (fingers crossed that doesn't happen) we'll work with everyone and the Inn to reschedule.

I'd love to have a rough idea if we can get near our 20 person minimum for the perfect room! (the other rooms are fine too just not actually 18th century I do love me some wainscoating!)  

ETA: Horsemonkeys! I meant to post this in Fabulocityclub (please someone tell me how you make it a commuity like you make it a user?) but I realize not everyone follows that group so I suppose for the moment I'll just leave it as a double post.

I am intrigued. I've long had the fabric to make a fraincaise and was quietly jealous of the last (one? two?) francaise dinners. Maybe I should give this a try.

It is also good to know i am not the only person awake at this ungodly hour.

And I have insomnia tonight. Almost never happens to me but for some reason I'm wide awake. I've actually been doing homework. Figured might as well be productive.

Yeah--it's a rare occurance for me as well (used to be quite common a few years ago, though). I'm about to start doing some more work on my halloween costume. Won't be able to do too much more than basting and pressing because the hubby is asleep and our apartment is tiny.

Maybe I should fold the laundry, too. :P

Don't know that you can edit it, you might have to do a new post.

If you do new post, at the top of it, it will say "post as" and then "post to" - for "post to" just pick the fabulosity club group and it should post it to the comm.

I actually meant it showing up as a link, I only recently figured out putting in a person's LJ name I can't figure out a community name yet...(very computerly challenged)

Putting in a community name is exactly the same thing as putting in an LJ name. The HTML tag is the same tag, it just links to a community instead of the person. If you can do one, you can do the other. You just type in the community name, and viola! Linkies.

I confess I don't actually use the html I just click the little person icon..and when I type in a community it tells me that person doesn't exist.

I usually use the HTML code view, but I just tested it in the Rich text view, and it works exactly the same. I even tested it on your fabulosityclub community, just to be sure.

Click the little user head icon, type in the name, and it shows up in your post. You must be spelling it wrong (which I do all the time, d'oh!). When in doubt on how to spell a user name or community name, I will confess, I often copy/paste the name from the list on my profile page. Some of my friends have weird user names. ;-)
