The Francaise Dinner...an essay in three parts.

Nursing myself through my post-party blues with my write ups.

Part one: The Dinner itself.

It was in a word. AMAZING! I had such a wonderful time I'm running out of adjectives to express how great a time I had. This really is one of, if not, my very favorite events of the year. We changed the venue this year to the General Warren Inne where they were VERY excited to have us and I have nothing but rave things to say about the staff.

Rob was being his foppish self which pretty much resulted me laughing until I made myself ill.

My friends were utterly and completely fabulous, the food was delicious. There was talented singing, card tricks and much shenanigans!

And one of the best parts (there were A LOT of best parts so it was hard to limit them) was madamekat made ladyxjade and I Muffs!! And The kicker is she SHOWED me this muff and I was all *lust lust lust* "My color sense has rubbed off on you!" when really she just knows ME so well that she made me the perfect crazy muff and made herself a more elegant-her-style one. I love of the three of us each have one SO of our personality. (I also want you to notice her brooch the size of the average human brain..not kidding)

I am also exceedingly fond of this one Kat also took when I was contemplating the serious question of what to eat.


and just so you know this is how jennylafleur looks all the time when she is sewing..or returning emails...in her pjs with her feathers on. or at least in my head it is.

I could write a novel about how much I loved all of my friends outfits, but I'll let each of you share your own. Suffice it to say you looked Splendiferous! I count my blessings everyday for each and every one of you amazing people. And I cannot wait till the next time we all meet! Titanic this coming weekend for some of us and Fort Fred for many of us!

Oh, I've added it to the project list already. The problem is, there's a HUGE backlog of stuff I need to sew first. My Landsknecht kit is in sore need of upgrading before the reenactment season starts. And it starts soon! Eek!
