I've actually been a bit productive lately. I worked on my ballgown bodice yesterday. I got the piping put on the neckline and then decided I thought the point was tooo wide as per the pattern.

I played a little with it in photo shop and the consensus was definitely better if I thinned it out a bit...and I shortened it 2" I know the super long point is period, but I'm so short waisted that the absurdly deep point messes with my proportions.

Ta- DA!

Then at 11:30 last night I realized that my yet unstarted paletot would be PERFECT to wear on Halloween at [livejournal.com profile] madamekat's to pass out candy. So I pulled out the pattern last night and fished the pieces out of the tissue. So far today I've gotten the fashion fabric cut, the interlining cut and now I'm taking a break as my back was NOT happy with an hour of standing over my too short cutting table....who thinks I can ACTUALLY make it before thursday night?

i think the way you fixed the point looks great! perfectly proportioned. and i have complete faith that you can whip up the paletot by thursday! as long as there's no crazy trim, you should be fine :)

Looks great!  Definitely an improvement.  What pattern are you using for your paletot?
