robinsnestI'm making an apple custard pie for the card party this weekend and I used homemade? rendered? lard from ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
jennylafleur. I've made many pies but never actually used lard, so it's kind of an adventure. That and an apple custard pie has the potential to be weirdly period :-p
But I'm being all historical. I used Lard for the crust (and a little butter) and I made the applesauce this morning...so when it's horrible everyone has to just smile and nod at me.
