Yesterday I worked at Joann's from 5:30am-10am and then got straight in the car and drove an hour to Milford, NJ. My family friend (she was one of my bridesmaids) has twin one month old babies and a 5 year old and mastitis! So I've been making the trip a few times to help her out! Mostly to hold a second baby, to put babies to sleep, and to get her lunch..and clean the kitchen, you know the basics. Her kids are A-freaking-dorable! The babies are little cue balls and they're juuuust working on smiling. The 5 year old made me wear fairy wings and read Frozen picture books. She also wore a shirt with no pants, but I got her to put on clean socks...I'm an awesome potential parent? Anyway they're all sweet but overwhelmed, so I was really glad I went and I had a wonderful afternoon, but by 5pm when I was thinking of heading home I started to have a wicked headache. I put off leaving till after 6 because I had a baby sound asleep on my lap, so by the time I got home at 7 I thought I was going to vomit....in the end I did vomit, and then curled up in bed with the shivers. Rob was appropriately convinced I was dying :-p He went out and got me excederin as we were out and some soup for dinner. I took the drugs right away and went back to sleep. I woke up at 2am and he was on the couch not wanting to go into our room and wake me up, poor guy. I re-heated soup and ate half of it. We went back to bed and I played facebook games till 4 when I fell asleep too...I slept till after 8 this morning. Wow guess I was really tired...plus side I feel great and don't have work today?

You are an angel to help your friend! One baby kicked my ass, I can't imagine twin newborns, and a five year old. You're awesome!

I'm so glad you're feeling better!

I don't know how parents do it. I get them when they're more or less house trained and only for two hours. And it's still boggling :)

You're a good friend!

Watching my two Guild mates with their babies yesterday at our monthly meeting, I can tell that parenting is a full time job. Everyone needs help with it!
