Well London is still amazing! I really don't want to ever come home, I'm sooo glad now that I chose the second semester as I don't have to start frantically seeing everything before I leave I have several more months, as everyone else gets ready to leave. :-)

So my internship and independant study for next semester are starting to shape up. i'm almost certainly going to do an independant study on 16th century tailoring techniques with Past Pleasures the company who does reconstructive work for the Tower Of London among other places. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that an internship at the Globe won't fall through, I haven't heard from them in a while, but my fingers are crossed!

Tonight is our Costume Party!! I've got the hottest costume! a vintage 1940's dress that I bought for £20! I'm still trying to decide how to tackle the 1940's hair style, did a bunch of research so I know what it SHOULD look like, just not quite sure how to do it. any suggestions would be heartily appreciated :-)

As you can imagine, I'm not going to be much help with the hairstyling bits...

But I've been reading, anecdotally, about the Tower of London all semester, and even knowing that the Tower was a palace including a good deal more than its jail, it's odd to think of an association with Past Pleasures. And I'm also amused to think of £20 as cheap, since the last chapter of the reading on Cromwell related the incident where several gentlemen protested a £10 fee because it was an exorbitant amount to pay for a knighthood that Charles I was trying to force on them.
