Home from Costume Con

I would just like to take a moment to say how completely annoying it is to return home after four days away to find every single dish in the house dirty piled in the sink waiting for me. and "But I cleaned up the living room" doesn't count...that merely means you moved all the dishes off the coffee table and moved them into the kitchen. AND you filled the sink which you know I hate so I have nowhere to actually WASH them. GRRRR

*sigh*

My Mother -in-law will be here in a week and so the apt must be at In-law cleanliness levels. but I'm just tired from all the Costume Con excitement and working.  I just want to sit here and drool. But Rob's shooting a movie next weekend so there's a very limited amount of time to clean..but I just wanna veg sooooo badly.

yeah...can I borrow Mellie to stand and supervise his dish doing? and by stand and supervise I mean eat-him-if-he-doesn't.

Of course you can. But you know she's already got him trained to give unending belly rubs. She might do a Mellie and consider her needs greater than yours, the bitch.

Jason did that to me the first time I went away without him. I came home to find he'd filled the sink with dirty dishes and basically trashed the house. I was livid! He doesn't do that anymore :) I think we all go through this with our men!

unfortunately I don't have Rob that well trained yet. However he has apologized and looked suitably pathetic.

Heh. I fully admit to being the one who put the dirty dishes in the sink all weekend. And I have a dishwasher! I guess if my man spends the weekend with the girls, I get to be a man, right?

I too am more likely to fill the sink with dishes while Alan is out. He is by far the neater one of our pair, and puts up with my piles patiently.

Then again, I've been known to visit my sister and do her sink full of dishes for her, but cleaning/repairing something at my sister's house is like family tradition.
