Two girls are wandering outside of the gym watching the tennis courts, settling themselves on a cold cement bench. The air is warm it smells like spring. One is gawkish wild curly hair yet un controlled the other is bubbling with life and smiles. Her hairs in pigtails and she looks much younger than her 15 years, yet when she speaks she is much older then her time on earth. The laugh about finals, joke about boys, giggle as high school girls do. The wind picked up, warm finals weather. somehow those days of freedom with a few tests are matched by none.

My dearest muse, my heart goes out to you. Your post was beautiful and a real tribute to your friend. (You made me cry...I almost lost my mom in a car accident and can't even imagine what my life would be like if that had happened).
