So I'm trying the big 3-0 in september and I want to do some big fun costume thing to celebrate being an adult (well who knows I might turn into an adult at 30)...my house is rather small but I suppose I could host something outside in the back yard...any have any brilliant ideas? [livejournal.com profile] ladyxjade has made the mistake of offering to party plan while tipsy and I intend to hold her to it.

This is a Brilliant Idea - I have no ideas which come close. That is all. But maybe if it gets too big you could relocate it to a park or something?

Tipsy? LOL! The girl is blind-drunk! But she will still love to help plan your party! It'll be epic!

You, an adult? Nevah! xD

There are some annoying bits about logistics, but I like Alice's suggestion of a park...I admit I've got those fabulous Georgian picnics of Jen Thompson's in mind when I say "park"! Pick an era and it'll happen! (If you pick Georgian, maybe we could sew you a birthday dress! ;) )

I was thinking Jane Austen but I have her on the brain lately.

And who doesn't love Jane Austen?? Everyone always loves a good Regency party! (And if they don't, no one said they have to come.)

Just not 1910s, right? ;)

Nothing says "I'm an adult" like playing dress up! I'm sure we can make it work wherever you decide to have it.
