I've been working along on my shawl and it's going pretty smoothly. It's juuust getting to the point where it has to get smooshed to fit on my circular needles.

and then I see it....2.5" in or 11 rows...I messed up a stitch and there's an obvious oops...

ARGH!! I already frogged 8 rows earlier to fix an error but my rows are much longer now and that would mean taking out several hours of work, to redo several hours of work. But I promised myself I would try to not leave errors and be good and fix them...but the idea of pulling out that much work is kind of heartbreaking. So I guess I'm putting it down for tonight while I try to decide what to do.

I'd leave it. The shawl is so huge that it won't show. I have a place on my purse where I dropped a stitch and skipped a loop picking it up. I noticed a row later. I left it--too much work for something so small! It took a lot of willpower to not redrop it :)

That's funny to me because I told myself I had to fix all my errors because I wanted to make something finally that was "Katherine C-G quality"

Ha! We really need to get together so I can show you what doesn't show on my stuff--ugly stitches, sloppy hems, the yellow sacque is totally a someone went to the dressmaker and needed a dress NOW sort of thing. It's all about what shows and what doesn't--and is *totally* period correct too. The ugliness on some originals is inspiring :)
