long time no post

I have all these things I was going to post about and now the list is so long it's daunting so I'm just going to do a summary to get my feet under me...

I graduated from nursing school! Clockwise from the top that's my Great-Grandmother Inez Kirby's pin from Cincinnati University, My mother's from Vanderbilt and mine!

Yup I was the only one to wear a cap...hey it made me really easy to pick out and I got A LOT of compliments. jennylafleur had to teach me how to wear lipstick and liquid eyeliner. It's like I'm a real adult. oh and I have my earrings I bought from sadievale waaaaaaaaay back at Dress U.

I'm currently working more hours at Joann's while I study for my boards. I have permission to schedule my test anytime now but it's only offered monday-friday at 8am and I promised to work 5am-10am during our store's big remodel, so sometime after the 10th I'll take the boards. A little study time won't hurt me and finally bringing in a bit of money after 2 years of basically not working feels great.

I've started the hunt for a nursing job so if anyone knows anyone in need of a new nurse pass along my name :-p

On the sewing front there's been not much, I cut out a cap from the Krannik's Korner pattern that hiraimi SO nicely lent to me, and I'm hoping to finish that for mandie_rw's tea on the 19th...Speaking of which who wants to come play with us?! It's my birthday so we could call it a birthday present if you came! I have also been promised fish and chips afterwards...And I've picked up the pineapple reticule that I manage to not work on for months, I'm starting to reach the point of wondering how long to make it which is a great sign!

thanks! It meant a lot to me to have a symbol of my connection with the nurses who came before me. I want to get a picture of these plus my sister's but alas she couldn't come.

No they don't give them out anymore. I talked about how much I wanted one and my fellow student Heather got it for me for my birthday last year. I wore it when studying hard concepts.
