A weekend of shenanigans

I had an AMAZING weekend costuming, so much to write up! Lets start with Saturday, that seems logical.
I drove down to Historic New Castle Delaware.
mandie_rw said to get there at noon and I was QUITE chuffed with myself when I parked at 12:01. There was free easy parking at the senior center and I had only gotten as far as finding my stockings with
mandie_rw and
miss_philomena rolled in. *insert standard parking lot dressing shenanigans*
Because Amanda's WHOLE POINT of finding another outting was to take photos of her spiffy dress she demanded we head to the water front first to take pictures.

SHE DOES EXIST...however when she had the camera back she only took bonnet photos of
miss_philomena and I...

Oh but there is proof of my pineapple!

I spotted a super nice man decorating his house with PINEAPPLES and CLEMANTINES! I was so excited about it, and he was super nice and didn't mind at all that a derranged lady with a crazy hat wanted photos infront of his house.

Dammit
mandie_rw appreciate the pineapple!!!

See?
miss_philomena understands...and coordinates color wise. Did I mention she was easy to find if we got separated?

Oh look you can see MY pineapple purse too! And my velvet bodice and skirt that I forgot to get photos of at Gettysburg..whoops! Well there it is, I'll probably do a write up on my blog this week....maybe...in 2016...
Anyway we asked a local for a lunch recommendation...and ended up in a tiny Victorian home with 7 tables and 3 servers who somehow managed to still lose our lunch order, toast Amanda's sandwich and give Adrienne's drink to someone else...
Please Allow Amanda to sum up our feelings:

We pretty much just fluffed around after lunch. We went into the Reid House which gave sadly abbreviated tour of only 3 rooms, but they let us in free for dressing up. We went into the Dutch house and heard about St. Nicholas' day (with a few perhaps tasteless discussions of "Black Pete"...Amanda's face across the room was GREAT.

In the door way to the Arsenal Visitor's Center

Did I mention it's the best bonnet that ever bonneted? cause I'm QUITE in love.

All in all I had a wonderful day wearing and outfit that makes me feel beautiful and the most bad-ass-bonnet.
