Has anyone been watching the new Bill Nye show on Netflix? Rob and I started last night, the first episode was almost bad enough that we stopped, but all the subsequent ones have been quite enjoyable. The GMO one was especially interesting. I see both sides, but I think really GMOs are not the scary thing people make them out to be. I think we are going to need A LOT of food to feed 7billion people properly..

Will have to catch the GMO thing. The anti-science thing against GMOs perplexes me. I just shut my trap when I hear people ranting against them.

Nuclear is another, though I can fully understand the fears. But fearing the new designs doesn't make sense to me. Intrinsic safety is different than engineered safety, which is what they fear. No sense in arguing.

But then I'm a engineer who specializes in risk reduction on the transportation of a highly flammable material under pressure. I know good engineering when I see it.
