robinsnestWe went out for a vintage tea for mandie_rw 's big 3-0! I had grand plans to make something, I was on track to finish it...but then I got some very unfortunate stomach virus on Friday night into Saturday...so I said screw it and wore an old dress. It was a summer dress so I addd tights and a sweater (the only colors of which I had were black...with a navy dress...shhh don't tell my mom)
I bought Rob a fun skinny tie off Amazon and a nice 40s looking sweater that's arriving tomorrow. *glares* Either way I thought his outfit of clothes pulled from the closet was fairly sharp. I got to wear my new hat and vintage coat so that was fun.
We met Amanda's new boytoy (that's him behind her) he was nice and did stand up remarkably well to my threats of violence if he breaks her heart. He may stay for now...I'M STILL WATCHING YOU TOM. Also fantastic to seeblackcat452 who I feel like I haven't seen in ages and who looks about ready to pop with baby beauty. And hirami who was sporting a dashing new red dress. miss_philomena rocking a fab new polka dot dress and her husband Joe came with cake in hand.
The food was delicious as always, although I made it halfway through and my stomach was all "SLOW IT DOWN WITH THE REAL FOOD WOMAN" So I didn't have dessert really, which is my favorite meal of the day.
After tea was over wewaddled walked across the parking lot to the little antique mall and did a bit of shopping. I maaaay have a bit of a vintage hat problem developing here...Also fun fact did you know blackcat452 can make any hat look good?! she has a magic face. I should have been taking pictures.
All in all it was a fantastic day! I came home and took a four hour nap
